She Offered Her Throat by mermaidencreations She Offered Her Throat by mermaidencreations
Weary of words, of the needle and tame tea, she heard the howl and followed the call out into the Wildwood, under the exposed throb of the full moon.

Casting aside lace and pearl she offered her throat where Fear resides, to fang and fur and moonsong.

And apparently, it was delicious.

(soldered glass necklace on vintage black lace, a skull dangles from pearls and jet)

***I am pleased to present my second offering for the Fantasy Artists of Etsy (FAE) January team challenge. The January moon is either the Wolf Moon or the Old Moon, and I dreamed of red until this piece was conjured.***

Well, it is certainly lovely. Reminds me of a.... Jack the Ripper in a beautiful way sort of thing.

yes, jack the ripper, victorian werewolf, frightful tinged with beautiful as if you could lessen the focus on the brutality and zoom in on the tiny details.

Makes me think of the Terror of London maze at Knotts Scary Farm this past Halloween. Very much focused on Jack the Ripper and his heinous crimes. T'was my favorite.

Oh, oh it's beautiful. And the poetry that goes with it, oh - I believe I must past those on my wall; do you mind? - and the lace with the red and black and the skull; they were made for each other; they're lovely beyond words. And in combination the two pieces are overwhelmingly, whimsically beautiful.

This looks great! ^^ That poet, story or verse (yeah got a problem finding the difference between them ^^') totally fits the necklace. It makes the theme come out really well. ^^

well, i think that bit of writing has overlap and maybe fits into all those categories :D the vision for the necklace started with the words.
